Happy Friday to all of our customers, friends and neighbors in the area! With Mother's Day coming up this Sunday (hint-hint fellas...if you've been busy!) we wanted to take a moment and recognize all the wonderful moms! You brought us into this world and continue to support us unconditionally as we venture through this crazy thing called life! A possible simple fix could include changing the input on the TV or possibly checking if the HDMI cable may need to be plugged in more securely. Has your computer been running slower than most of us this time of day at work on a Friday?! There are several things that could be causing this. One of the main concerns we have when hearing a customer describe this type of behavior from their computer is the possibility that the hard drive could potentially be failing! If your device has been running slower, or you're having issues with getting an external hard drive to initialize when plugged into your computer, give Computiverse a call at 724-655-443 or stop in with your computer or external hard drive ASAP! Happy "Hump Day"! Congrats, you're officially half-way through the work week! With today being designated as "Earth Day", we wanted to highlight our recycling program here at Computiverse! If you have any old electronics, cables, computers, tablets, phones etc., we'll take those free of charge! There are a few items, such as flat-screen TVs, old CRT monitors and printers we do charge for processing. If you have any old electronics or boxes of old miscellaneous cables, cords, etc., you swore you would eventually need them, but eventually has yet to appear, stop on in or call us at 724-655-4433 for any questions or further assistance!

Here at Computiverse we've seen a recent uptick in devious behavior by bad actors within "The World Wide Web." If you're getting unexpected pop-ups while online or after opening an e-mail, and they're requesting you to call a phone number for assistance, don't call the phone number! This is typically a "Phishing"technique used to get you to call the phone number for assistance and the third party will ask for access to your device to assist, but they end up looking for personal financial information amongst other items you don't want a stranger to have! If you have any suspicious activities occurring on your device, feel free to call Computiverse at 724-655-4433 or stop in with your device for further assistance!
