Bill, we will miss you! You truly made a difference here as well as everywhere your light touched!

William “Bill” Robert Hurley

William “Bill” Robert Hurley, beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and man of deep faith, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 28, 2026, following a courageous two-year battle with glioblastoma. He was born October 12, 1960, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to the late Robert and Muriel Hurley.
Bill lived a life marked by faith, love, creativity, adventure, and a deep trust in Jesus. His relationship with Christ was at the heart of who he was, and he carried that faith with him through both the joys and challenges of his life. Bill’s faith was not simply something he believed—it was something he lived. He actively shared the message of Jesus with others and looked for opportunities to encourage people in their own faith journeys. He also served on mission trips to Rwanda, where he had the opportunity to serve others and share the love of Christ.
Bill will be lovingly remembered by his children, Isaac (Mary) Hurley, Nadia (Justin) May, Benjamin (Angela) Hurley, and Brian (Nelita) Hurley; his grandchildren, Jacob, Alexandra, Levi, Weston, Matthew, and Judah; his brothers, Greg Hurley and Tim (Barb) Hurley; and his ex-wife and lifelong friend, Heather Leigh. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Muriel Hurley.
Bill embraced life fully and found joy in many pursuits. He was an avid runner and treasured the friendships and community he found through his Happy Running Family. He participated in triathlons and marathons, always embracing the challenge and adventure of the journey. He loved to travel and explore new places, creating memories along the way.
A gifted creative, Bill had a special talent for photography and pottery. Through both, he had a unique ability to see beauty and bring his own creativity to the world around him. His photographs, creations, stories, laughter, and friendship will remain cherished by all who knew him.
Above all, Bill was a man of faith who trusted Jesus throughout his life. Even in the face of illness, his faith remained an important part of his journey. His willingness to serve others, share the message of Jesus, and step outside his comfort zone to participate in mission work reflected the depth of his faith and his desire to make a difference in the lives of others. His life was a testament to perseverance, hope, love, service, and the grace of God.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 11, 2026, at:
Hope Vineyard Church
2923 Telegraph Rd.
St. Louis, MO 63125
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to Mercy Ships, an organization whose mission reflects Bill’s heart for faith, service, and helping others. Donations may be made at mercyships.org.
Bill’s life touched many people, and he will be deeply missed. His memory will live on in the family he loved, the friendships he treasured, the beauty he created, the people he served, and the faith he shared. His life pointed others toward Jesus, and the legacy of his love, faith, and service will continue through all those who knew him.

We had a great group of kids from Mrs. Hoerr's 2nd Grade class come in for a tour. A handful of these little peeps had grandparents and even great grandparents who used to work here, for those kids we got a pick next to the spot their grandmas and grandpas used to work. A few of them are wanting to fill out apps already! Thanks for visiting!
