So I had a customer with an Acer Nitro gaming laptop come 2 me with heating and sluggish load times. They had told me that the startup time for this laptop has never been faster than about 90-100 seconds. Upon testing the unit, system detected hdd failing. Opened unit up to find old school spinning hdd. Also, the fans were pretty covered which would explain the heating issues. Removed the hard drive and the fans. Cleaned the fans and reinstalled them. Upgraded from SATA hard drive to M.2 nvme SSD. Once windows 10 was installed and fully updated you can see the change below. To those of you who have pets especially should take under consideration to have your fans looked at every 6 months or so and cleaned if need be. This routine maintenance can keep your system running good for a long time. Same goes for desktop computers as well. This information is all the more important if you frequently use your devices.
