Day 1 in the books on a warehouse security camera installation in Columbus.

This project includes 4 exterior cameras and 3 interior 360° cameras to provide complete coverage of the facility.

Today’s progress:
• All camera cabling has been run
• 2 exterior cameras have been mounted
• Equipment backboard installed
• Network rack installed and ready for equipment
• Viewing monitor mounted near the rack location
• Cabling properly supported and secured using J-hooks throughout the facility

One of the best parts of this project has been the opportunity to provide hands-on training for our newest technician. Real-world experience is the best classroom, and it’s great to see the next generation of installers learning proper cable management, equipment mounting, and industry best practices from day one.

Looking forward to wrapping up the remaining cameras, bringing the system online, and delivering another clean, professional installation.

Trying to choose an access control system is easier when you compare what really matters: reliability, scalability, and how well the hardware performs after professional installation. Our latest breakdown compares top access control companies side-by-side, so you can separate strong platforms from promises that don’t hold up in the field. If you manage commercial sites across Columbus, Cincinnati, or Dayton, you’ll get practical guidance built around real-world coverage and dependable execution—especially when uptime and accountable service are non-negotiable.

Property managers,

One thing I've noticed over the years: most security conversations start after an incident has already happened.

Package theft.
Vehicle break-ins.
Unauthorized access.
Vandalism.
Trespassing.

Traditional cameras are valuable for evidence, but evidence doesn't prevent the incident from occurring in the first place.

The most effective security strategies today combine:

• Access control systems
• Smart intercoms
• Quality CCTV coverage
• Proper lighting
• Visitor management
• AI-powered remote guarding

AI remote guarding adds another layer by identifying suspicious activity in real time, allowing trained operators to intervene before a situation escalates. In many cases, it helps reduce false alarms while providing active monitoring of critical areas such as parking lots, entrances, package rooms, and common areas.

For property managers, security isn't just about protecting assets. It's about resident safety, tenant retention, property reputation, and reducing operational headaches.

I'm curious:

What security challenges are you currently seeing at your properties?

Package theft?
After-hours trespassing?
Vehicle break-ins?
Unauthorized access?
Something else?

If you'd like information on how AI remote guarding works and whether it makes sense for your property, comment "AI" below or send me a message.
