Starting and running your own business is exciting, but certainly stressful. There’ll be days when you feel overwhelmed and stressed out. There are so many responsibilities to handle. You feel like giving up.

Don’t! Don’t give up!

I started NexTech LLC in 2018, with 1 goal in mind. To be my own boss. I wasn’t sure how to start, didn’t know anything about business, didn’t know where the business would go. I started my business mounting TVs in homes. Making $100-200$ per day, it wasn’t much but it was enough to keep me going. I didn’t give up, even though at many times I wanted to.

I feel accomplished today as I make this post and reflect back to what I did to start my company. Mounted TVs, for very little money. Now of course this isn’t all that I do as a business, I now specialize in Business Phone Systems and IT. However this is how I got started. Attached are a couple of pictures the first one is of a job that helped get me started. Mounted this TV for one of my first clients. The 2nd picture is of the work I’ve complete about an hour ago for the Worlds Largest Retail Store. I’m blessed to Live in America, where you can dream it and make it come true. Don’t give up!

Electrical Estimator

NexTech is growing and we are looking for an estimator to help grow with us and through us.

Responsibilities:

Provides estimates for jobs that result in company profits.
Assures company can perform specified jobs by evaluating job information
Submits job estimates to management/client on a timely basis
Build and maintain relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, etc.)
Prepares job estimates and quotations on a computer, with an aptitude for estimating software
Plans job functions including material, labor, and timeline requirements
Interfaces with Project Managers to perform jobs awarded to the company
Maintains and files job records in accordance with company structure
Assists in the review of completed jobs for future estimates
Participates in obtaining customers via telephone, email, walk-in, or conferences to generate opportunities for bidding on jobs
Performs other related duties as assigned
Improves upon the processes we have here/taking ownership of Estimating Department

Requirements:

2 years of experience in low voltage electrical estimating (I&C, FA, PA, Security, Data)
Aptitude toward learning new software (Esticom)
Ability to communicate and keep organized
Microsoft Office proficient

Details:

Job title: Estimator or Senior Estimator
Monday-Friday, full time
Salaried, $60,000-$70,000 and profit sharing
