Frances Mayhall was raised on the Gulf coast and has been drawn to art and color for as long as she can remember. She studied at Auburn University, receiving a BFA with a concentration in Graphic Design. Frances’ passion for painting is reflected in her rich and colorful abstracts and her expressive figurative paintings. Her work is influenced by her design background, full of vibrant colors, swirling shapes, and a rich variety of textures. Neutrals and metallics usually serve as her favorite foundation palette, but she uses bold pops of color and contrast to bring life to each piece. She lives in Vestavia Hills with her husband and three children, and paints at her studio located in The Art House in Cahaba Heights.
