Don’t lose your backup ability!

Starting next month with the release of macOS 27. Apple computers will no longer support AirPort Time Capsules for Time Machine Backups.

Last year (macOS 26) Apple started warning that the next version of Time Machine in macOS would stop working with AirPort Time Capsules. Well that day is fast approaching. macOS 27 is scheduled to be released next month. And if you have an AirPort Time Capsule it’s time to find an alternative.

We have found a solid replacement for the Time Capsule, it’s the Buffalo Link Station NAS. It plugs into your Wi-Fi router and is compatible with macOS 26 and macOS 27. We’ll be honest it’s not an Apple product so setup isn’t as simple and easy as the AirPort Time Capsule was many many years ago. But once it’s set up your computer backs up to it via Time Machine all the same.
