Bringing You Closer to the Speeds You Deserve
Dear Valued Customer,
At Central Link Broadband, we’re proud to serve rural communities that larger providers often overlook. While we haven’t always been perfect, we’ve listened to your feedback and have been working hard behind the scenes to improve your experience.
We’re excited to share some of the progress we’ve made:
New Fiber Connection at Iron Bridge Tower in Lorena
We’ve recently secured a direct fiber connection at our Iron Bridge Road tower in Lorena, Texas. This tower is now directly fed by fiber, improving service reliability and performance in the surrounding areas.
This fiber is shared with our Bruceville-Eddy tower and our Southwinds Tower—the main tower serving Lorena. While we still have a wireless backup link from our Baylor Tower to Southwinds, this new fiber-fed Iron Bridge tower is closer to Southwinds and now serves as the most reliable connection for Lorena, Bruceville-Eddy, and nearby customers. This upgrade replaces the older wireless-only feed that was more prone to weather-related slowdowns and outages.
Expanded Coverage with New Towers
- Our Leroy tower is now live, just one hop off our new fiber line at our Axtell office, bringing better coverage and higher capacity to the area.
- Our next tower is going up soon in Hallsburg, Texas, which will allow us to offload even more traffic, improving speeds and reliability across our entire network.
Ongoing Equipment Upgrades at All Tower Sites
Over the next several months, we will be upgrading equipment at every tower site to improve overall service. Any customers still on legacy equipment (about 20 still on M Tech systems) will be a top priority for these upgrades, helping ensure they receive the best performance available.
Better Speeds, Less Congestion
Thanks to these upgrades, many of our customers are already experiencing improved performance. While a few locations are still on our list for optimization, we are actively working to improve service at every site we operate.
We are committed to keeping you informed as we grow and improve. This is the first of what we hope will be many regular updates to strengthen our relationship with you, our customer.
