technicians and system installers.
Audio/Video Technician and Systems Installer
Job Summary
The preferred candidate will have a technical background in Audio Visual Technologies and good customer skills.
Ability to install and trouble-shoot basic audio, video, and control system problems is a requirement along with
formalized certifications on major brands of audio visual systems and components. Related experience in similar
industries will be considered. The successful candidate must be hard working, computer proficient, maintain a
clean driving record and be a real team player. On the job and formal training will be offered to a successful
candidate for this position. Candidate should be able to read and understand AV Flow Diagrams produced by
engineering in order to wire, terminate and build AV systems in the field.
Solid experience in Commercial Audio Visual installations including mounting projectors, screens, displays, wiring,
cabling, computer controls, and rack-building will put you at the front of the preferred line. Applicants may be
required to go through a background check and a pre-employment drug screening.
Qualifications and Skills
• Minimum of 2-year experience within the commercial audio/visual industry
• Ability to read and follow system design schematics and layouts
• Efficiently troubleshoot and resolve design and installation issues
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as professional appearance
• Valid driving license and clean driving record
• College degree preferred, will train the right candidate
• Must be able to use hand tools & test equipment; know how to solder & crimp connections
• Safely be able to use and operate ladders/lifts with no fear of heights
• Effective professional-level interaction with customers and colleagues.
• CTS and CTI certification. (or the ability to obtain)
• Have hands on experience with major video conferencing platforms and hardware, including Google
Meets, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Polycom and LifeSize.
• Understanding of input and outputs of audio and video devices
• Ability to travel with possible overnight stay required
• Occasional overtime required
