How old is your laptop? 5 to 10 years is solid. 10 to 20 years? That is impressive. Most don’t make it past 3 to 5 years, so if yours is still running, I applaud you 👏
If your laptop is 5 years or older, chances are it still has an HDD, the older style hard drive. HDDs are slower than SSDs and much more likely to fail without warning not to mention if you don’t have your data backed up (I find that most people don’t), that could mean losing everything…pictures, documents, the works.
That’s why I offer a $50 diagnostic check. If your drive looks like it is on its last leg, and you opt to have it replaced, I’ll waive that fee in place of the upgrade cost. The upgrade costs far less than buying a new laptop, which often runs closer to $1000 brand new if you want quality specs, and it will make your system boot faster, run smoother, and feel fresh again.
