I'm still recovering from Characters In The City Book Event baby, my body said eff me soon as I got back lol I love my girls. I love you MarKela Ross Madam Visionary. This event went above and beyond anything we could've dreamed or imagined. All the craziness for the last year and the hiccups were completely worth it cuz who would've known there were any at all? Cuz you did that! People keep saying run it back but baby we need the whole year to recover 😂😂 I loved every bit of this weekend. My little broken lungs needed every bit of this weekend. No matter the struggle to get through that second day.... shoot the whole weekend since Charlotte wanted to be in full bloom spring!!! 😩 that pollen ate me alive lol ... it was such a blessing. It was so exciting having readers come up to me and say they came for a pic with me or just wanting to engage with me. I really felt special and it let me know that people actually love me and my work. That I am loved in this industry. That people genuinely eff with me and I truly appreciate that. This last year made me want to give up so many times because of my health but I pushed anyway and with doing that I sold out of Safest With You!!! I literally came back with only 8 books and people were asking for books even after the event! I love y'all so so so much! I didn't get to wear my pirate costume cuz my girls said sit the hell down Maria!!! Lol it's really hard to do that when you're surrounded by greatness. I'm literally a helper. It's in me. So that was hard lol even with my lungs saying girl bye sit...I still had to perform my song! Though had it been two years ago that joint would've gone differently and I would've ate that all the way down lol I'm grateful for every reader. I'm grateful for every author that poured into me, loved me, encouraged me, and even were concerned about me the entire time. I love y'all so much!! So so much. I'm truly grateful. And Kendra Canty-Lopez and Ronnie ZK Beautifulcioccolatina I promise I'm taking it easy now. My butt is laying down typing this and I'm not going no where for at least two more days lol I'd love for anyone who took a pic with me or video to send it my way so I can post it! I've been collecting em cuz I didn't get to take many. I'm hurt I didn't get to meet quite a few authors that were there but there's always next time. 😆🥰
