Thinkamingo to Participate in AppCon’19 in Nation’s Capital
WASHINGTON, D.C. – April 28, 2019 - Thinkamingo President Ann Adair will join representatives from nearly 50 other app makers and connected device companies at ACT | The App Association’s annual App Economy Conference (AppCon) in Washington, D.C., April 28 – May 1, 2019.
In Washington, Ann Adair will have the opportunity to engage policymakers on some of the most pressing issues facing Thinkamingo today. Those issues include broadband infrastructure, privacy, computer science education, and topics surrounding connected health technologies.

“Working with government to make a difference regarding online privacy for children has been a very meaningful experience as a tech entrepreneur and as a mom. Washington needs the big picture, but our individual stories bring issues to life. The law is ultimately personal. A call to act on behalf of real constituents with real stories is quite powerful,” said Ann Adair talking about her previous years of experience with AppCon.

For the past 10 plus years, the App Association has brought small and medium-sized tech companies to Washington to engage with policymakers and regulators on the issues that affect them.
“Throughout the year, the staff at the App Association works tirelessly, advocating on behalf of our members on Capitol Hill, at various regulatory bodies, and before courts,” said Alexandra Cooke, director of membership at the App Association. “AppCon is an opportunity for our members to meet with Members of Congress and their staff to tell their stories and advocate for policies that will positively impact their businesses. Last year we made a big difference, with more attendees and meetings than ever before. Congress heard their voices on the key issues for our industry, and their expertise will be even more valuable this year as we prepare to educate a new Congress.”
