20 years. How has it already come all these years to pass? 20 years for what you may ask? Well it turns out today marks 20 years since I started. It's been a long hard journey but I did beat the statistical odds of startup companies only lasting 5 years. I don't have a storefront, I don't advertise on the radio or the TV almost all my work has come from word of mouth.
20 years brought a lot of ups and downs, a lot of faces that I've met and a lot of those faces I'll never see again. One thing nobody tells you when you go into business for yourself, is the friendship you'll form with your clients. And how much it actually hurts when you find out a client has passed away. I have lost many wonderful clients over the years to old age or cancer. And it definitely is a crappy part about owning a small business. You get to know these people pretty good, you don't just slide them a bill at the end of the job. You sit at the coffee table with them, you have a cup of coffee and a conversation. next thing you know that one hour service call turned into another two three hours of just conversation.
This wasn't all done just by myself, I have to give a loud shout out and huge thanks to Jasper Johnson for being my backup, for being able to take calls when I couldn't and keep everything flowing. We're not rich we're not famous, but we're just a couple of guys out here trying to take care of all your computer related needs.
As in any business I can't please every customer, I can't fix every problem, but as I've done for the last 20 years I will always try my best to rectify the problem or find the solution. Because if I don't know what the answer is, I'll find it. Because sometimes the honesty is better than looking like a fool faking your way through it.
I would like to thank you all for your support and trust over the last 20 years. Who knows what the future may hold, maybe I won't be here in the next 20 or even the next 10 or 5. But all I know is I couldn't be here if it wasn't for the support of all my friends and family and great clientele.
Don't forget, " Why Call a Geek, When You Can call a Professional!"
Thank you!!!
