Recently, I had a great opportunity to help the Institution Univers school in Quanamithe, Haiti bring WiFi coverage to the building as well as a point-to-point WiFi bridge to another building. My client and friend Gary Behling of Merchant Services Exposed funded everything so all I had to do was lend some of my technical know-how and put together a shopping list. Seeing the project come to life was incredibly rewarding. In today’s world, reliable internet isn't just a luxury, it’s a vital tool for education and opportunity. I’m proud to have played a small part in bridging the digital divide for the students at Institution Univers.

Protecting sensitive information in your emails is crucial. Here’s how to encrypt your emails using Microsoft 365:

✉️ Compose a New Email: Open Outlook and start a new email.
🔑 Select Encryption: Click on the "Options" tab and choose "Encrypt."
🛡️ Choose Permission Level:

Encrypt-Only: Encrypts the email, ensuring only intended recipients can read it.
Do Not Forward: Encrypts the email and prevents recipients from forwarding, printing, or copying its content.
💡 Note: Encryption features require a Microsoft 365 Business Premium subscription. If the email is sent to a non-Microsoft 365 user, they will receive a link to sign in and view the message.

🚨 Important Update: CrowdStrike Windows Outage 🚨

At QBit Networking, we are committed to keeping you informed and secure. Recently, a botched update by CrowdStrike led to a significant Windows outage, causing widespread disruption.

What happened:
🔄 An update to CrowdStrike's Falcon platform resulted in system crashes and the infamous "Blue Screen of Death" on many Windows devices.
🌍 This outage has impacted businesses globally, affecting critical operations in various sectors.

Although we don't sell CrowdStrike products, we are here to help you navigate any challenges that may arise from this situation. Your cybersecurity is our top priority.

There is a workaround to resolve the issue:
1️⃣ Boot Windows into Safe Mode or Windows Recovery Environment.
2️⃣ Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike
3️⃣ Locate and delete the file matching C-00000291*.sys
4️⃣ Reboot normally.
