Hello! We'll be taking a short end-of-summer getaway, so Silver Silo Design + Print will be closed August 3–5.

I apologize for any inconvenience, but I'm soaking up a few days of summer with my son before he begins his junior year of high school. Time has a way of moving much too quickly, and these moments together are ones I don't want to miss.

I'll be back in the shop on Thursday, August 6, refreshed and ready to help with all of your printing, design, and promotional needs.

Thank you so much for your understanding and for supporting my small business—it truly means the world to myself and my family. 💙

Don't miss it! The smells coming from the kitchen are amazing. Congratulations to Beth and Sweet Peppers for an epic year. It's a pleasure to have a front row seat to what she does. Happy Anniversary!

One year ago, I unlocked the door to a dream I wasn’t entirely sure would work.

Today, because of all of you, Sweet Peppers is so much more than a bakery.

It’s friendships formed over cupcakes, celebrations shared over cheesecake, little ones pressing their noses against Betty’s glass, and neighbors becoming family.

Every order, every kind word, every share, every visit, and every ounce of support helped turn a dream that started in my home kitchen into a place I am honored I’m to call home.

Thank you for believing in Sweet Peppers. Thank you for supporting small business. Thank you for allowing me to do what I love every single day.

What’s in a name? The Shakespearean question. ☺️ I’ve been asked what my business name means and how I came up with it.

Silver Silo came from feeling inspired by those moments driving out of big cities toward small towns, when you start to see silos catch the light in the distance. Like these towns they’re easy to overlook, but they represent so much of what’s stored here in the rural parts of the Midwest—people, ideas, characters, ingenuity, passion, integrity, and community. I wanted my business to reflect that same idea: finding and elevating what’s already valuable.

I’m reminded of this often when I have the pleasure of working with fellow entrepreneurs, the students!, the hard working dreamers, the makers—so many ideas and ways to express them.

There’s nothing like talking about ideas and helping showcase people that are willing to push their limits to find out how great they are and what they’re capable of—finding the uncompromising parts of themselves that allow them to live their best life.

I have enjoyed being the designer on this project with Amy and Marta, volunteers on the Greenwood Cemetery Association, to polish up this existing structure. We were able to turn their logo into a 3 dimensional element on the sign itself. Join them Friday at the Chamber Coffee to talk about all of the great work they've been doing to keep the cemetery beautiful and all the great work to be done!

Yesterday marked one year as a print shop owner—and what a year it’s been.

I kicked off the day wrapping up a project for the Spring Sprints event, a reminder of how much this business has grown and the kind of work I get to be part of. I’m incredibly grateful for the clients who have trusted me, supported me, and kept me busy doing what I love.

This year has been about learning fast, delivering quality, and building something real—and I’m just getting started. If you’ve been thinking about a project, a refresh, or bringing an idea to life, I’d love to work with you.
