Still running Windows 10? It stopped getting security updates in October 2025. 🛑

It still boots and still opens email, which is exactly what makes it risky. No patches means every new flaw found stays open on that machine.

📢 Heads up, local nonprofits.

Microsoft ended its free Business Premium and Office 365 E1 grants on July 1st. If your org has been running on one of those, you may have already hit a "purchase and authenticate" wall when trying to set up an account.

The good news: there's still a free Business Basic grant covering up to 300 users, and paid tiers are heavily discounted for nonprofits. It's just no longer automatic.

If your board is wondering why Microsoft suddenly wants a credit card, give us a call. We've been walking several local organizations through it and can help you review which licenses you actually need.

A little PSA: heat is hard on electronics. If you've got a computer tucked in a warm closet, a router baking in a sunny window, or a laptop living in a hot car — give them some air. Overheating quietly kills more devices than people realize. A few feet of breathing room can add years to your gear.
