Nothing is original, and that’s actually a relief.

Steal Like an Artist by Austin Kleon is my favorite book of all time because it completely changed the way I think about creativity.

The point isn’t to copy someone else’s work. It’s to pay attention:
→ Save what makes you stop scrolling
→ Study why it works
→ Pull inspiration from many places
→ Interpret it through your own perspective

One year ago, I launched Brykero Design.

I thought I was starting a branding and website design business. Instead, I ended up building a completely different life alongside it.

I love this stage of branding because it’s where the story starts to reveal itself.

Looking at these images together, the connection feels obvious: quilts, heirlooms, lace, handwritten notes, gathered tables, gardens, old homes. They all carry a sense of history and care.

My job is figuring out how to translate those ideas into a brand without being overly literal.

How do you make something feel stitched together without putting a quilt on everything? How do you communicate legacy, craftsmanship, warmth, and belonging through colors, typography, imagery, and language?

That’s the puzzle I get to solve.

The logo is just the final result of a hundred tiny decisions that all started with a feeling.

Turns out all it takes to build a believable brand is:
- one cool dog
- a fake brewery
- a patio full of regulars
- and a concerning amount of creative freedom

Not just logos. Personality. Atmosphere. Inside jokes. Merch people would actually wear. The kind of place you’d text your friend about after going once.

Anyway, Sit & Stay Brewing opens never.

Can you name this popular coffee shop just by the details? 👀

The colors, the lighting, the cups, the packaging… it all works together to make the place feel memorable before you even take a sip.

That’s what I think about when building brands. Not just “does it look good?” but “what will people remember?” What makes someone tell their friends, “you have to go there when you’re in town.”

You don’t become a landmark because people visit once. You become one because people come back.
