I want to take a moment to share some important news about a valued member of our Summit IT Services family. After twelve years of dedicated service to our clients, Marielle has moved on to an exciting new opportunity as a cybersecurity analyst with Coca-Cola.

This transition is a tremendous achievement for her. Marielle has always been a lifelong learner, and over the years she has invested deeply in expanding her cybersecurity expertise. With numerous certifications and a clear passion for the field, she is well positioned to accomplish great things in this next chapter.

While we will all miss her presence, professionalism, and commitment, I am genuinely happy for her as she takes this next step in her career. Growth often requires change, and we recognize that our employees are with us for a part of their professional journey. Sometimes, reaching your full potential means moving forward to new challenges and opportunities.

🌟 **Proud Moment Alert** 🌟

Every day, I’m reminded of why I’m so proud of the work our team does. We don’t just resolve tickets—we reduce stress, remove frustration, and help our clients stay focused on what matters most: running their business.

As I review service requests, I often see our staff stepping far outside the traditional scope of what an IT service provider is expected to handle. And they never hesitate. They simply solve the problem.

A great example came up recently. A client called, worried about what looked like a fraudulent credit card charge. The obvious advice would have been, “Call your credit card company.” But our technician dug deeper. It turned out the charge wasn’t fraud at all—it was an auto‑payment still tied to an old card and being denied. Normally, that update happens automatically, but not this time.

Instead of sending the client off to figure it out alone, our technician helped identify the creditor and update the payment method on the spot. They stepped up, took ownership, and did the right thing.

This is who we are. This is the level of care our clients can count on. 💙

Threat actors are crafty individuals. Think your cloud app protected by MFA can't be hacked?

We recently had the pleasure of investigating such a hack. An employee purchased a "cheap" iPhone from eBay. The phone was pre-hacked and when the employee added their work email the deed was done.

There are two morals to this story. 1) if something is too good to be true, such as a cheap iPhone, it is. 2) if you let your employees add their work email to their personal devices, they should be managed by the business.
