Come test your skills over the board at Owl Canyon Coffee in historic downtown Wellington! Join us for a friendly yet competitive USCF-rated 3-round chess tournament in a fantastic local coffee shop atmosphere.

Date: Saturday, August 29

Location: Owl Canyon Coffee, 3745 Cleveland Ave, Wellington, CO

Time: Register at the door 9:00 AM sharp | Play concludes ~3:00 PM

Format: 3 Rounds | G/50 d5 (Game in 50 minutes with a 5-second delay)

Entry Fee: $20 (100% of entry fees returned as prizes!)

Grab your favorite espresso, settle in for some great games, and support a community hub. Boards and clocks are provided, but feel free to bring your own if you have them.

Want to test your skills again or just looking for some high-energy, rated chess? Come join us tomorrow for the Saturday Super Fastish at Strategic Minds Chess Academy!

Here is everything you need to know:

Format: 1-Day, 4-Round Tournament | G/35;D5 (35 minutes per game with a 5-second delay).

Requirements: USCF membership is required (you can join or renew onsite!). Please bring your own chess set and clock if you have them, as our equipment is limited.

Prize Fund: 80% of entry fees are returned as prizes!

​Atlee just started taking piano lessons at Hive5 Studios two months ago, and tomorrow night, she is taking the stage to both play and sing live! Taking the stage after just a couple of months of dedication is a massive milestone, and we can’t wait for the community to cheer her on.
