Native Network

Native Network Native Network, Inc’s mission is to connect tribes & municipalities to empower & prosper.

Mission
Native Network believes that the path to self-determination for Native American Tribes is through control of telecommunications and technology. We help tribes leverage telecommunications systems and services to ensure economic vitality and diversity of their respective communities - enhancing educational, healthcare and business opportunities. Vision
Our vision is to build a telecommunicat

ions network that connects all the tribes of the United States—a modern network that mirrors historic trade routes. In America’s pre-European history, indigenous people were connected by a sophisticated structure of routes that not only encouraged trade, but also promoted cooperation and prosperity. Using historic trade routes as a model, and modern technology as a means, we create a new age of prosperity for participating tribes and their communities. Background
Native Network understands telecom challenges in rural communities. Our team built the first cellular system in North Eastern Washington, branded as Cellular One. We built the first competitive telephone company delivering dial up Internet and phone service to remote cities in Washington, Idaho and Oregon. We’ve also engineered, designed, implemented and supported both rural and urban competitive wireless and wireline carriers with broadband and telecom infrastructure deployment. Management
Our team has 75+ years of experience in telecommunications, technology, operations, management, and consulting. Our focus is bridging the digital divide in rural and underserved markets, but we have a wealth of experience working in metropolitan and global markets as well. Services
We have a variety of offerings to assist tribes with their technology planning and development in their journey to telecom independence.
• Feasibility studies through full implementation support for creation of your tribal telecommunications company
• Development of a tribal branded mobile phone service
• Engineering, design, equipment selection, and sales
• Data center design and ex*****on
• Professional services ranging from financial modeling to sourcing equipment for large scale projects
We are focused on the Native American niche and are constantly looking for the most competitive pricing available to serve our customers.

NTIA has announced upcoming reforms to streamline Tribal broadband funding—reducing red tape, increasing flexibility, and aligning grant opportunities to better serve Tribal connectivity. A new Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program (TBCP) NOFO is expected in Spring 2026, with estimated remaining funding of at least $500M.

Now is the time to prepare. The strongest applications are built before the NOFO drops—project scope, budgets, partners, narratives, and readiness documentation.

Native Network can help your Tribe get grant-ready and competitive with:
✅ Readiness & eligibility review
✅ Project scoping & planning
✅ Budget + cost justification support
✅ Narrative development & compliance checks
✅ Partner coordination & application assembly

Last week, Native Network was on the road across New Mexico, visiting valued customers and connecting with new prospects. A highlight of the trip was when we spent the day with Michael (Manny) Manuelito, Broadband Director for the Santa Fe Indian School, at Broadband Day at the Roundhouse 2026 — hosted by Connect New Mexico - Office of Broadband Access & Expansion.

It was a great opportunity to explore information tables, learn about broadband programs and statewide initiatives, and connect with broadband leaders, advocates, and lawmakers from across New Mexico — all working toward stronger connectivity and opportunity for communities throughout the state.

Grateful for the conversations, collaboration, and momentum. We’re excited to keep building.

Thank you, Fiber Broadband Association, for another outstanding Regional FiberConnect in Oklahoma City!

We’re grateful to the FBA team for hosting a powerful gathering focused on advancing Tribal broadband, and congratulations on a record turnout this year. We also want to recognize two great Tribal Broadband leaders, Rob Griffin and Josh Snow leading the FBA Tribal working group. Their AI event was outstanding and educational.

A special thank‑you as well for the opportunity for Native Network’s CEO & President, Andrew Metcalfe, to share insights on the “Edge and Sovereignty: Building Tribal Data Futures” panel. The discussion around edge infrastructure, data sovereignty, sustainable power, and resilient fiber networks is vital as Tribal Nations expand broadband across Indian Countrt.

We appreciate the work FBA continues to do in elevating Tribal priorities and creating space for meaningful, solutions‑focused conversations. Looking forward to the next one!
