A tip for fixing many random PC issues, always RESTART your Windows 10 desktop or laptop properly. SHUTDOWN does not actually fully shut down a Windows 10 computer. The same goes for hitting the physical power button on your desktop or laptop. It merely puts the system into a special hibernation mode allowing for a seemingly faster "startup". But Windows 10 actually needs to restart "properly" every few days or random issues may start occurring. What types of issues, you ask? Anything from webpages or media not loading properly to printing errors and Windows updates failures. So before you call for expert help, remember to restart your computer to see if it's just a random glitch or a real issue that needs professional attention.

PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT FOR OUR CUSTOMERS. PLEASE SHARE!

Greene Computer has been a staple in Coxsackie and the surrounding area for over a decade now. We are located in Hope Plaza right next to Tops Supermarket. We love our location and enjoy serving the local community with excellent service and technology advice. Covid-19 has been tough, as I'm sure you all are aware. I'm writing this to inform public that we are not changing locations and that Chris and Craig plan to serve this community indefinitely. Yesterday, we received a phone call from a customer asking if we were moving to a new storefront next to Cumberland Farms. We are not affiliated with that business even though their sign has already begun to cause confusion.

We would like to thank the whole community for their support over the years. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and God bless.

Regarding COVID-19:

As we have been deemed an Essential business we will continue to stay open and provide you with the service you have come to rely on. However, in order to both protect ourselves and our community, we will be going appointment only in store until further notice. This does not apply to our phone and remote service. Please call ahead if you plan on coming into the store. If you are unable or unwilling to leave your house, we will come pick up any device if we need to work on it in the shop.

Regarding COVID-19:

Greene Computer will continue to stay open as long as we can. It is our duty to provide the service the community has come to rely on. If you are unable or unwilling to leave your house, we can come and pickup your device, or help remotely.
