Hello! Nice to meet you and thanks for visiting my page! As long as I can remember, I wanted to be an artist and have a career doing

meaningful work, helping people, and having the freedom and flexibility to do what I love and keep learning. I have a great passion for learning—whether it’s meeting new people, traveling and experiencing other cultures, food, and landscapes, reading, trying new recipes, or figuring out new skills. It’s often hard to separate work from play because all of it is my life; I call it the “art of living”. I enjoy a good challenge and friendly competition—sports (softball, cycling, pool, ping pong, tennis, etc) or mental stimulation by learning new skills and concepts such as web development, 3D modeling, hydroponics & gardening, and woodworking. I value the documentation of these experiences to find the essence in the learning experience and share and teach it to others. My YouTube channel which I started in 2011 has grown to over 400 videos and 26K subscribers. I have also adjunct taught a couple of college-level classes, Interactive Design & Advanced Photoshop, at my alma mater, Missouri Western State University. After graduating summa cm laude with a BFA in Graphic Design during the recession (’09), I landed a position at a small advertising agency, the Minnow Project in Lincoln, NE, where I gained a foundation of seven years experience and the opportunity to practice design, learn the creative process and communicate my ideas to account managers and clients. In 2010, I accepted the challenge to learn web development which dramatically helped our team and gave me the experience I needed to establish my own business. I’m so grateful for that opportunity and for putting in the effort at a key point in my life. Since 2016, I’ve been operating fully out of my home studio and offering an array of professional services, primarily design and development. It’s a welcoming space where clients become partners and friends who share their expertise with me, so I can craft beautiful, smart, and memorable brands that deliver clear messages to your audience.

Finally, a logo that captures and feels like me.

I started exploring this concept in 2023, got stuck, and filed it away. Then, this summer, while I was working on another vinyl-cutting project, the inspiration for the final idea came together.

I wanted 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍 mockups — a signature typographic tee and a couple others, small‑batch limited‑edition business cards cut by my vinyl cutter and sewing machine, a holographic vinyl car decal… and I’m even thinking about putting one on my bike. The holographic vinyl has been a little temperamental, but worth it. I've been wanting to share this for at least a month. I made the final push today with the pocket logo tees and taking photos.

AI is a powerful creative tool, but it’s not a replacement for professional graphic design.

Here’s what you should know:
AI images are raster — They’re pixel‑based (JPG/PNG), not vector files. They can’t be scaled cleanly or edited like real logos.

Not print‑ready — AI doesn’t produce CMYK, bleed, trim, or production‑safe layouts. Anything for apparel, signage, or packaging must be rebuilt by a designer.

No copyright protection — Pure AI output has no human authorship, so it can’t be copyrighted or owned exclusively. Copyright requires meaningful human creativity.

Trademark risks exist — AI can accidentally mimic real brands.

AI can be a useful tool for concepts and inspiration; however, professional designers are still essential for vector logos, print‑ready files, and legally protectable design. The first concepts are usually the most predictable and look beginner like clipart or templates.

As a designer, it's not meaningful to rebuild AI generated art. Let's solve problems based on human need.
