The Commercial Street Bridge is scheduled for a full closure from July 10, 2026, through August 3, 2026. Chief Dan Churma of West Homestead Borough Emergency Management has been notified the detour route will directly impact the Steel Valley Area. The detour is scheduled to take the majority of traffic over the Grays Bridge and onto 8th Avenue to the Rankin Bridge.
In order to be prepared for this closure, upcoming detour and traffic, we invite you to participate in this virtual public meeting scheduled for Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 5 pm. to discuss the Commercial Street Bridge closure, Q&A session, etc.
