In 1971, twin brothers Jack and Jeff Gernsheimer started Partners Design. Jack’s passion for designing award-winning identities led to the the success and longevity of the studio. His work has been celebrated internationally, but his contributions in his community are what fulfilled him the most. It’s nearly impossible to drive through Berks County today without seeing one of his logos. He treated every client, no matter how big or small, with the same sharp attention to detail. Over the years, his enthusiasm for design encouraged many young graphic designers who interned with Partners Design. I was fortunate enough to work with Jack, and I can say he was a true inspiration. His resilience to adversity and his kind heart were qualities admired by those who knew him. This past Thursday night Jack passed away after a long battle with Parkinson’s. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed.
