Cybercriminals are getting a little too creative lately. Increasingly impersonating IT support through platforms your employees already trust, including Microsoft Teams. Their main trick is to create a false sense of urgency to persuade someone into granting remote access to their device.

A really good rule of thumb to share with your team: if an unexpected message or caller claims to be IT, always verify it through a known internal channel before clicking a link, sharing a code, or allowing access to your computer.
