“It’s hard to see every inch of those fields, so we’ve adopted technology to help us do this. Because frankly, it’s more efficient and allows us to see more than a human can in a lot less time. We use Taranis,” said Nate Eitzmann, Agronomist with Asmus Farm Supply, during a recent CropLife webinar.
“They can fly a field and give us images of every inch of that field, identify insects and diseases, count our plants and weeds, and provide actionable information that we can use in-season.”
Nate also highlighted how collecting data year after year allows them to identify patterns in specific areas of their fields.
