If your small business isn’t doing this, it’s missing out. 🙅🏻♂️
The goal of having an online presence for your business shouldn’t just be to generate traffic.
Your aim should be to connect with your audience — and help them find solutions through your products and services.
The best way to do is that is through email marketing. 📩
More specifically, by starting an email newsletter sent out biweekly or monthly.
A newsletter is a valuable piece of content. It allows you to create an experience for your readers that will take them on a journey deeper into your business.
So, what type of content should you put in your newsletter?
Here are some tips:
1). Offer exclusive content such as special promos, deals, giveaways, behind the scenes photos, and videos
2). Curate content to become a helpful resource in your industry. Send out links to valuable information to your community, and then add your business’s unique voice to it.
3). Spotlight happenings, events, and other local businesses in your area. Locals love knowing what’s going on in their community.
When you keep them informed, they will welcome seeing your email in their inbox.
4). Engage. Engage. Engage. Ask questions to your audience. Find out what they are struggling with and how you might be able to help.
5). Avoid long blocks of text and book report emails.
People are busy. Give them small, quick doses of value.
Most people likely won’t read a 1,000-word email of you talking about how great you and your business are.
Be mindful of their time.
