☕ This photo of one of our favorite mini Mavens was too cute not to share. Oaklyn is rocking the Marketing Maven mug and somehow even matched it with her Nike shirt. Was it on purpose? We’re not sure. Maybe Ashlie is just so used to keeping branding consistent that it happened subconsciously. Don’t let the smile fool you though… she takes her coffee black. (kidding, she’s 8 😅).

💻🎨 A glimpse into a day in the life of one of our favorite web designers. Crystal gets it done and she gets it done well. One minute she’s redesigning a homepage, the next she’s checking mobile layouts, hopping into meetings, or knocking out edits. Also somehow managing to hydrate, journal, work out, take a walk, and be a mom… all in the same day. We’re not sure how she fits it all in, but she does. We’re just over here taking notes.

📹👋 We’re excited to welcome Kynnedy Peoples to the Marketing Maven team as a Student Intern! In her role, Kynnedy supports video production and content creation, helping with editing across a variety of client projects, from social media videos to website content. She’s already getting involved in a little bit of everything.

She started with us as a senior at Goddard High School, where she gained hands-on experience through the Media Arts program creating and editing video content for events and social media. That’s where she developed a strong eye for detail and a love for bringing stories to life through video.

After graduation, Kynnedy will attend Wichita State University to pursue her bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology, with an interest in a future career in addiction therapy. She’s passionate about helping others and has already proven to be a creative and skilled contributor to the team.

Kynnedy is already making an impact, and we’re excited to see her continue to grow!

📽️ Take a look at these rare behind the scenes photos from a video and photo shoot we did a while back.

Most of the time, we’re the ones behind the camera, so we don’t often get professional shots of ourselves in action. This time, with both Ashlie and Matt on location, they were able to capture a few moments of each other in the process while working with Media Logic Radio, planning, filming, and capturing content from every angle.

Ashlie was in meetings mapping things out and keeping everything moving behind the scenes. Matt was bouncing between a phone, a full camera rig, and a drone. Filming interviews, grabbing B-roll, and covering live sporting events, all in one shoot in Northeastern Colorado.

It’s a good look at the range that goes into a single project and what it takes to capture the full story.

We may be a mostly remote team, which means no thermostat battles, but temperature preferences still say a lot about a person.

Here's the deal...

Team Lizard likes it warm and might even keep a jacket, blanket, and space heater within arm’s reach.

Team Penguin prefers cooler temps, keeps the AC working overtime, and has definitely said, “It’s not even cold in here.”

Our team has officially been divided. Ashlie, Logan, Brooklin, Crystal, and Steven are Team Lizard. Matt, Melissa, and Rachel are Team Penguin.

📸🚗 This is what a “quick trip” looks like for us. We thought we were heading to Atwood and Colby, Kansas for a couple of meetings and maybe a few photos. We ended up leaving with a full camera roll and a packed day. This is a great example of what our work really looks like behind the scenes and honestly, what makes this job so fun. 👋😎 Say HELLO to our new bestie, Sophie, who job-shadowed with us recently. She's a sophomore at Great Bend High School, and wanted a real-world look at careers in graphic design. After watching her sister pursue a career in art and taking a graphic design class last year, she realized design is a great potential way to combine her love of art and her aptitude for computers. Sophie was a delight to have in the office with us, and she definitely has the chops to be a great graphic designer one day.

When Sophie's not in the classroom, you might see her on the golf course with the high school's team, participating in other school clubs, or performing with the A Ca****la choir. Sophie also enjoys hanging with friends, playing sports, and listening to music. Thanks for coming to listen and learn, Sophie, and we can't wait to see where your talents take you in the future!
