Tech design can change lives in unexpected ways. Back in 1997, legendary game creator Kenji Eno learned that visually impaired fans were trying to play his visually intense game, so he responded by designing Real Sound: Kaze no Regret, a video game built completely without graphics. Played entirely through immersive audio, spatial sound cues, and interactive plot choices, it gave sighted and blind gamers an identical, equal experience. To make it happen, Eno even convinced Sega to donate 1,000 Sega Saturn consoles to blind players in Japan. It’s a powerful reminder that at its best, technology isn't just about flashy features, it’s about breaking down barriers, building accessibility, and creating experiences. ❤
