A trip Downeast to celebrate my birthday and 2 years of self employment. invited us over to Cutler to dig clams, had a quoddy head red at , and spent some much needed time in Roque Bluffs. What a lot of you don’t know, is that a simple design like this usually starts with an overly detailed mess of an illustration. It has shading, a bunch of colors, and way too many additional marks and scratches. Once I see every possibility of what it could be, I can start stripping away the obvious. Leaving just enough for the eye to understand so the brain can make up the rest.
