HUUUUGE shootout to my buddy for sending me this signed Johnny Christmas ball.

Funny that Johnny had to go to the UK for me to get a signed ball, but I'll take it either way.

Those of you that have followed me long enough know how much Johhnt Christmas means to me. He was my favorite player when I first got into the game and even as a diehard Duke fan, I still have a soft spot for UVA because of him. Thanks to , again, for making this happen (and for sending me some sweet gear, too)

Had to get my Tactik 2.0 strung up and ready to go.

Of course I went with a theme and used some Blue Zones mesh to string it up. This thing is insanely smooth.

What do you guys think? Are you going to cop the Tactik 2.0 when it drops July 4th?

When announced their new logo and colors a few weeks ago, so many people cried foul at the loss of their beloved logo and "original" color scheme.

So I set out to show that this was an opportunity to make something new that might become just as iconic.

This was a lot harder than I originally imagined because I wasn't sure how exactly much of the old Knighthawks identity moved to Halifax.

So my home and away uniforms are clean and solid, very blue-collar looking, but could use a bit more personality, so I might take a look at them again once the Knighthawks release their actual uniforms and I can see what direction they are heading.

For the third, I wanted to play into the colors and the military history of Rochester. So I went with a stealthy all black with a ghosted wing pattern and some military inspired nameplates and badges to complete the look.

Oh, and since Rochester currently has no players on their roster, I thought it might be a great time to get Johnny Christmas back into the box game. Hence his name being on the back of the kits.

Anyway, let me know what you think below. I had a blast making these and can't wait to see what the real Knighthawks come up with. I will definitely need to get up to Rochester to see a game.

From the moment I started thinking about doing redesigns, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with the design.

The design, while clean, kinda looked like they ran out of ideas. It's the only design without a texture to it and other than some, admittedly great looking, sleeve stripes, there are basically no real design elements.

When looking at the logo, the first thing I noticed was the two-tone badge and wanted to make a two-tone jersey. Then I added a herringbone "arrow" pattern to give it some texture. I absolutely love the result.

I also was able to use the Archers "Above all else, win" to create my favorite pride badge from all the PLL redesigns I made.

All these elements combine for a jersey I think would look amazing holding the PLL Championship Trophy at the end of the season 🙏.

With all the other redesigns, I had some pretty firm ideas for what I wanted to do with them. Some jerseys I had tons of ideas, some on a few ideas. Some jerseys had ideas that morphed into 4 other things when I was working, and others that were basically the exact same from concept to final design. But for , I honestly had no earthly idea what do for this one.

What I did know is that the snake skin pattern didnt make sense, because it gave the impression of three snake bellies. So I cleaned that up and gave it just one.

I knew that the word mark would look like a bowtie and decided to go with the snake head that is one of the Whips secondary logos.

And I knew that the number font was plain and boring and did nothing to feel like it belonged to a team based on a "long, thin bodied" snake. So I used a thinner bodied number font that had some variation and felt more "snake-like" overall.

After that, it was a lot of trial and error. I moved the stripes off the shoulders and down the sides of the jersey to once again add verticality and directionality to the jersey.

And then tried to allude to the stripes on a snakes back with the stripes down the sleeves.

All in all, I really dig the way this came out and think it would look dope on the field. I love that the whips have such an original collection of colors. I would love to see them use them more.

With a couple minor tweaks, there was something about the simplicity of the design from that I just really liked.

When it came to doing redesigns of the kits, I knew that chrome was one I wanted to largely keep the same. I swapped their photorealistic chainmail texture for a Celtic feeling chainmail design, put the wordmark and numbers on the front and added some small details, and that was pretty much it.

The result was something simple and clean with a few pops to really carry the jersey. Which is basically what Adidas did with their design, I just did it better 🤣.

(For those that don't know me very well, that was a joke).

When you look at the brand guide for , you see things like, "both feared and admired" and "a grounding force", and words like, "leadership," "colossal," and "unbowed." When you look at the Redwoods roster, you see schools like Hopkins, Brown and Notre Dame. Everything about this club has an old world permanence to it. Even the name "Redwoods" implies an ancient strength.

So, I was really perplexed when Adidas choose to make that the uniform where they really tried to push the envelope of how a lacrosse uniform could look.

I chose to go the opposite direction and make a more traditional looking uniform that communicated the ideals put forth by the PLL for the Redwoods club.

I originally wanted to do a shoulder stripe like on Browns throwback uniforms, but couldn't make it work with this template. So instead I went with a traditional sleeve cap stripe. I matched the drop shadows to the Redwoods wordmark. I moved the Adidas strips from the shoulders to the jersey sides to enhance the idea of height. And then used a tree line with a gradient to provide a little pop while keeping it clean.

I really love the way this one came out.

If the redesign was the easiest to do, was probably the hardest. This design won't be for everyone, but it was a lot of fun to make.

When you name a team "chaos", pretty much every visual representation of that theme is going to feel like some cheesy XFL team. I fought that feeling a ton with really poor results. But finally decided, screw it, I didn't name the team, and leaned into the over the top theme.

What bathered me about the Adidas design was that for a team named "chaos", the design was plain and super geometric.

So I swapped their geometric pattern for some hand drawn stripes and used a crazy font that feels like it came from a monster energy drink. Also, Chaos is the only team to use 5 colors in their branding, so I wanted to use all the colors instead of two.

Ultimately, I think this jersey embodies the idea of Choas, while still managing to be (relatively) clean.
