Yesterday we interviewed interns. Today we'll interview a potential client as part of our customer development plan. Here are the top 3 questions I want to ask:

1- How much time do you spend on ... ? (Can't tell what we are researching just yet :) ).
2- How important is ... to you?
3- How motivated are you to solve/improve ...? How much would you pay to have this problem solved?

This is a client I've been working for a while now, so the questions are far advanced in the process.

We are interviewing interns today! After hours of research here are the top 5 questions I want to ask the potential interns:

1- What are your expectations from this internship? (I'll tell them ours. After 20+ years of professional experience I think having clear expectations is the most important aspect of any professional relationship.)
2- What are you most passionate about learning and why?
3- What do you know about e-commerce and web marketing? (Because this is what we do. I want them to be honest and tell me if they don't know anything at all.)
4- What's an accomplishment you're most proud of? (Mainly to see if they would be a good fit for our team and short-term goals.)
5- Please ask me at least 2 questions about our company. (Not optional because I don't play that game.)
