If you're using OneDrive, SharePoint, Google Drive, or Dropbox, it's worth checking.

Sharing files with "Anyone with the link" is quick and convenient—but it can also expose sensitive information if that link is forwarded, copied, or shared with the wrong person.

Changing your password may not be enough after an email account is compromised.

One of the first things cybercriminals often do after gaining access is create a hidden email forwarding rule. That rule quietly sends copies of sensitive emails—like invoices, payment requests, and banking information—to an outside email address without your knowledge.

Even after you reset your password, the forwarding rule can remain in place, giving attackers continued access to your business communications.

Take a few minutes to review your email rules and forwarding settings, and ask your IT provider if automatic external forwarding is blocked and alerts are enabled for new forwarding rules.
