We recently posted about Phishing, one type of social engineering. Baiting is another type. That’s when an attacker offers something in exchange for giving them your login credentials or taking another action - a free download, a trial offer, a discount on your first purchase… the list goes on. With the click or download, malicious software is installed and the attack ensues. Always be VERY, VERY cautious when viewing such offers!

Have you had it happen? Your laptop or PC reboots during a meeting. Ouch!

Though several issues can force a reboot, it's likely caused by a recent update that requires a restart. Avoid the inconvenience by scheduling updates in "Advanced Settings." You can even tell the system when your machine is regularly in use!
