Let us know if you have computers that need to be securely erased before recycling them!

Wylie is doing their recycling event on February 28, and it's a GREAT opportunity to recycle old electronics.

Just be aware that any computers or devices that can store data may not get securely erased. So if you want to recycle them but are concerned about sensitive data lingering on those devices, we offer secure data destruction services.

Let's talk about printer paper jams...

It's important to get all the pieces out when you have a paper jam. Even small bits of leftover paper can cause the next page to jam up also.

Battery calibration is an important part of replacing a laptop battery. Not only does it help your laptop run for more time on that new battery, it also helps the battery to stay healthy longer.

Some laptops have a built-in calibration utility (it's usually hidden in a special boot diagnostic menu), others you just do manually by charging it to 100% then letting it run all the way out then charging it back to 100% again.

Either way, perform a calibration when you install a new battery, and at least once a year to keep your laptop in good shape.

Let me give you an insiders tip: go ahead and open up those elctronics and set up accounts and run updates NOW!

We see this happen every year, devices need updates to run before they will let you use them. This goes for computers, phones, tablets and even game consoles.

So because everyone and their grandma will trying to do all of this on Christmas morning, the update servers are going to be overrun and SLOW!

So if you want your loved ones to enjoy those gifts right away, then do the updates before they open it.
