A small, fun startup with a really cool product is looking for a Software Engineer for our development team. You would have an opportunity to work with Amazon Web Services building the front end for a new product we are developing for a January 2019 launch.
We're a young company out of Yakima, WA pioneering game-changing ideas for content delivery using a combination of hardware and software. As a part of the team, you'll be expected to enjoy solving problems that others tell you can't be solved, working with others to brainstorm and create unique solutions, and see a product from idea to customer delivery.
What you'll have an opportunity to do:
Be a key contributor to our development team as we design the front-end UI for this new product. Build the front-end interface for our product using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Help determine the next set of features for our product, develop and release them.
What you will do:
• Design and build frontend features for our platform
• Develop uniquely useful standalone web applications for embedded Linux devices
• Be a core contributor to our team as we design, create, implement, and test new ideas

Qualifications:
• Knowledgeable in HTML, CSS and Javascript.
• Able to take a loosely defined set of requirements, ask the right questions and build a UI that will work
• Be a good team player.

• 2+ years of front end development preferred
• Experience with Javascript build systems and bundlers is a must
• Git experience is a must
• Experience with building HTML5 desktop apps, such as with Electron is a plus
• Any experience with Emscripten, and porting native desktop apps to the web is a plus
• Python experience is preferred
• Comfortable with Linux

We will consider a remote candidate with the right experience. We prefer a full time developer but will consider a part time developer with the right skill set and attitude. We will not consider out of the country candidates or consulting firms.
