Important Windows 11 Security Update

Microsoft has made it easier to check if your PC is protected! The April update now shows your Secure Boot certificate status directly in Windows Security.

Why this matters: Current security certificates expire in June 2026. These certificates protect your PC from malicious software loading during startup.

What to do:

✅ Go to Windows Security > Device Security > Secure Boot
✅ Check your status message
✅ Enable automatic updates in Settings
✅ Turn on diagnostic data (Settings > Privacy & Security)

If you see “Secure Boot is on, preventing malicious software…” you’re all set! If not, your PC needs the certificate update before June.
No more manual PowerShell checks needed. Microsoft will automatically update your certificates through Windows Update.
