Starting early and scoping out the next location for Gamer Life. One thing I’ve learned from my mentors and being in the mall currently in Yuba City, is that location matters. River Park has been one of the premier locations in Fresno. Definitely has grown quite a bit from 11 years ago when I left. Definitely a strong location but I gotta do my due diligence and make sure I go around before I make a decision.

Noticed this store, .us near the theater’s parking garage. Met one of the owners, JJ. Really cool dude and down to earth with a similar background. Enjoyed the talks and they have some pretty cool toys, cards, video games, comics, and other collectibles in there. The vibe is nothing but positive energy. Would definitely like to link up once I’m back in-town. Be sure to check them out if you are in the Fresno area and give them a follow on IG while you’re at it.

Afterparty at Hard Rock with some of the vendors who have become good friends. Every game swap we do, 80-90% of the vendors are traveling from out of town and as far as 2-3hrs. I appreciate y’all vendors so much for showing out and continuing to put on a great show for this community. Keep ridin’ with me, and we’ll all win together!

I know I said it last game swap, that this year may be the last for Gamer Life in Yuba City. And that still may be the case. We are still not where we need to be for me to stay committed to this location. But what I will say, is the turnout and love shown this weekend continues to give me hope that we’ll make it to the finish line as we continue trending up. So, thank you to all of the attendees. We can’t have a show if we have no audience, so keep coming out and spread the word as much as you can. You guys keep fighting for us to stay, and we’ll keep building this community together.

The VP of the mall management stopped by for the first time and liked what he saw and will be putting in a good word so we can possibly do these more often. That would definitely help us continue this momentum. I will keep y’all updated on that. But for now, get ready for Sunday Game Days to officially launch starting June, which I’ll release the schedule sometime soon. And the next Game Swap which will be our Fall/3rd Year Anniversary is official for Oct 3-4. Mark your calendars and vendors reach out if you want to secure your spot now.

Special shoutout to Mrs. Gamer Life! Without her, I wouldn’t be here chasing my dreams and providing services to the gaming community. She was my first supporter, my first employee, and truly the MVP to this process. Raising our son, and making sure I have as much energy and time as possible to keep doing this thing. The work she does behind the scenes is so critical and I thank and love her for that.
