📱 This iPhone 15 Pro had a serious case of “pressure from within.” 😅

The battery had swollen so badly that it pushed against the display and cracked the screen.

The customer had already replaced the screen in Israel—but unfortunately, the previous repair left several screws stripped, making the phone almost impossible to open properly. 🤦‍♂️

So we had to carefully remove the damaged screws, replace them, install a new battery and a new display, then test everything from top to bottom.

Result?

✅ New battery
✅ New display
✅ Proper screws
✅ Everything working perfectly

The best part?

The customer left with a big smile and said:

“Cảm ơn!” 🇻🇳❤️

🇩🇪📱 “Can you fix it today?” — Challenge accepted. 😄

A customer from Germany contacted ProCare Hanoi before their trip to Vietnam. Their iPad Air 5 had suffered a serious accident—the screen was completely shattered, with only cracks and lines left to look at. 😅

They booked 10 days in advance and asked us to have it ready the same day: drop it off in the morning, pick it up later.

There was one extra problem.

The iPad’s frame had been bent in the accident, so we had to carefully straighten and restore it before installing the new display.

A few hours later...

✨ Ready for the customer's trip

💻 This MacBook just doesn't know when to quit. 😅

A customer brought us their MacBook Pro 16" M4 Max (48GB RAM).

First, it survived liquid damage (we repaired a damaged USB-C port).

This time?

A broken display. 💥

Replacing the entire display assembly would have been... painful for the wallet.

Instead, we replaced only the display panel, keeping the original aluminum lid and other perfectly good parts.

✅ Premium display quality, comparable to the original
✅ Much more reasonable cost
✅ Less waste, smarter repair

The customer was delighted with both the result and the honest explanation.

Why replace the whole house when only one window is broken? 😉

💻 When closing the lid becomes... a crash test. 😅

A customer's MacBook Air M2 had a very strange habit.

Close the lid. Open it again. Wait a few seconds... or press Esc...

💥 Kernel Panic. Restart. Every time.

The error?

DCP PANIC – "No device added after powering on the rails."

After two days of investigation, we traced the problem to the lid angle sensor—a known issue affecting some M2 MacBooks, although Apple has never officially acknowledged it.

Interestingly, the fix appears to have been quietly included in macOS Tahoe.

There was just one problem...

The Mac refused to update, repeatedly showing "Failed to personalize software update."

Our solution?

✅ Back up everything with Time Machine.
✅ Update the firmware via DFU using another Apple Silicon Mac.

The result?

No more kernel panics.

No more sleep/wake crashes.

One very happy customer.

Moral of the story: Sometimes the problem isn't hardware... and sometimes the solution isn't just clicking "Software Update." 😉

📱 Some iPhones just can't stay away from ProCare Hanoi... 😄

We repaired this iPhone 14 Pro Max back in May 2025 with a motherboard swap to fix a "No SIM" issue.

This week... it came back.

Not because of our repair.

Because it went swimming. 💦

The phone was stuck in an endless Apple logo boot loop. Even a fresh iOS restore couldn't save it.

After 3 hours of diagnosis, we found the real culprit: a damaged power button flex cable and wireless charging module, both affected by liquid damage. We also installed a new battery to ensure long-term reliability.

The customer left with a fully working iPhone—and another smile.

Lesson of the day: Water damage doesn't always attack the motherboard first. Sometimes the smallest component causes the biggest headache.

🎮 Your PS5 isn't supposed to sound like it's preparing for takeoff. 😅

A customer brought us a PS5 that kept randomly restarting during games.

We opened it up...

And found enough dust to build a small pillow. 🤧

The cooling fan and heatsinks were completely clogged, so the console couldn't get rid of heat properly.

After a full internal cleaning and fresh thermal paste, about 2 hours later, the PS5 was back to running cool and stable.

🎮 No more overheating.
🎮 No more random shutdowns.
🎮 Just smooth gaming again.

Lesson learned: If your console starts running hotter than usual, the fan gets unusually loud, or games suddenly crash, don't ignore it.

A simple maintenance today could save you from an expensive repair tomorrow.

💻 Some laptops need a screwdriver. This one needed homework first. 😄

A customer asked if ProCare Hanoi could service their ThinkPad P1 Gen 5 (Core i9, 64GB RAM, RTX 3080 Ti).

Our answer?

"Yes... but first, let's study it." 📚

Before touching such a high-end workstation, our technicians researched the disassembly process, cooling system, thermal paste, and thermal pads to make sure every step was done correctly.

The customer watched the entire service in our workshop and smiled:

"Wow... you guys are really professional." 👍

That's exactly how we like to work.

📱💦 Water damage has a sense of humor... it never breaks just one thing. 😅

A customer brought us an iPhone 16 Pro Max after it had been soaked with water.

After a thorough cleaning and drying, the good news was that only the display needed replacing.

Three days later...

Face ID stopped working. 😬

That's the tricky part about liquid damage—you never know what will fail next.

We tried to repair the original Face ID module, but the chip was too badly damaged to read.

Luckily, starting with the iPhone 16 series, Apple now allows Face ID modules from another clean iCloud device to be paired through system diagnostics.

A little later...

✅ Face ID back.
✅ Display perfect.
✅ Happy customer.

Moral of the story?

If your phone or laptop gets wet, don't dry it, don't keep using it, and definitely don't "wait and see."

Turn it off immediately and let professionals inspect it.

The sooner it's treated, the better the chance of saving both the device... and your wallet.
