In automotive parts manufacturing, defects are inevitable. No matter how precise the production line is, there is always a margin of error. This margin, albeit small, plays a significant role in determining the overall quality and reliability of the final product.

1. THE CHALLENGE AT Z.D. MANUFACTURING

Z.D. Manufacturing, a company specializing in automotive components, faced a critical issue in quality control:

🔹Manual inspection was time-consuming and still prone to errors.

🔹Customers complained about defective products, affecting the company's reputation. Z.D. Manufacturing needed an automated solution to inspect every product quickly and accurately, ensuring the highest quality before delivery.

2. THE SALALABS SOLUTION

When approached with this challenge, Salalabs implemented a high-precision automated inspection system using Computer Vision and Laser Measurement Integration.

✅ Computer Vision: Automatically detects surface defects, eliminating the need for manual inspection.

✅ Laser Measurement Integration: Ensures precise measurements down to the micrometer level, guaranteeing product accuracy.

🔹 Step 3: Monitoring & Optimization After the deployment, the system continuously refines its accuracy based on real-time data, allowing Z.D. Manufacturing to not only detect defects but also predict and prevent them proactively.

THE RESULTS

✔️ Reduce the defect rate in a number to 0.5µm, ensuring maximum precision.

✔️ Inspection speed increased by 10x compared to manual methods, optimizing time and costs.
