The Flamingo 300-X features Auto-Bias operation for all tubes, allowing you to explore a wide range of 300B tubes from different manufacturers without having to worry about manual bias adjustment.

The Flamingo 300-X represents our latest 300B-based tube amplifier design, engineered to fully realize the exceptional sonic potential of the 300B through our latest-generation output transformer technology, exclusively developed and manufactured in-house by ThivanLabs.

Among all vacuum tubes used in audio, the 300B holds a special place in the hearts of audiophiles for its uniquely captivating sound — rich, delicate, and effortlessly seductive. Since 2009, we have devoted over 17 years to exploring and refining the full capabilities of the 300B, continuously optimizing both its performance and its musical expression. Throughout this journey, numerous configurations have been developed and perfected — from Push-Pull and Single-Ended amplifier topologies to innovative applications of the 300B in preamplifier stages, including dedicated 300B preamplifiers designed to convey music with the utmost nuance and refinement.

The Flamingo 300-X inherits a wealth of these technological achievements, culminating in a design that embodies our latest standards of sonic excellence. It is configured as a Single-Ended amplifier featuring four 300B tubes in the output stage, complemented by two 12AU7 and two 6V6 tubes in the preamplifier stage. Delivering 16W RMS, this Single-Ended architecture brings out the full musicality of the 300B, offering an emotionally engaging and richly expressive listening experience.

Each Flamingo 300-X is meticulously assembled using true point-to-point wiring under strict quality control. This demanding construction method requires exceptional craftsmanship and precision — not only to ensure long-term reliability, but also to achieve optimal circuit integrity. Our refined point-to-point techniques enhance internal layout clarity while minimizing noise, ensuring stable operation and long-term durability, and significantly reducing the risk of component degradation over time.

The sonic performance of the Flamingo 300-X reaches a remarkable level of refinement, thanks to the exclusive use of our latest-generation output transformers (OPT), specifically optimized for the 300B tube. The output transformer is arguably the most critical component in a Single-Ended tube amplifier, responsible for transferring energy from the tubes to the loudspeakers. With decades of experience and the production of tens of thousands of transformers across a wide range of designs, we have accumulated deep expertise in this crucial field.

The amplifier delivers a wide frequency response of 10Hz–30kHz with low distortion, achieved without the use of feedback in order to preserve natural dynamics and tonal authenticity. Our custom-designed output transformers are deliberately substantial in mass — a key factor in achieving superior sound quality. Undersized transformers, by contrast, limit low-frequency performance, resulting in weakened and less controlled bass. They also require thinner winding wire, increasing impedance and leading to signal loss, ultimately compromising dynamics and detail, particularly during demanding musical passages. While some amplifiers rely on feedback to compensate for these limitations, such approaches often improve measurements rather than true sonic performance, and can constrain the natural openness and fluidity of the sound. In this context, the mass and quality of the output transformer remain fundamental to authentic musical reproduction.

Another distinctive advantage of the Flamingo 300-X lies in its use of interstage transformer coupling (IT). This design ensures consistent frequency balance across varying power levels, maintaining musical coherence even at low listening volumes. The result is a highly balanced presentation, with clear imaging, full-bodied sound, and excellent detail retrieval.

The Flamingo 300-X also features selectable sound modes, including Dynamic and High Dynamic, offering listeners greater flexibility in shaping their listening experience. In Dynamic mode, the amplifier delivers a well-balanced presentation with excellent musicality, while High Dynamic mode enhances scale and energy, producing a more expansive and open soundstage.
