Last week was the first edition of Embracing BIM co-organised by Build Studios, airc.digital and Nemetschek Group.

Here is a quick snapshot update on the content shared by the speakers and participants before we dive deeper on one of the most constructive debate on BIM to date bringing in the same room people from all over the AECO industry.

Helen Santer has been the perfect MC to guide us through a packed evening of diverse short presentations and workshops.

Yves Padrines welcomed everyone with a warm message inviting us to openly share our thoughts on BIM to shape the world together.

Carlos Cordeiro introduced the evening and led the discussion in a perfect balance between what work and doesn't work to date with BIM.

Parth Tikiwala provided clarity on the vital necessity to create stronger links between the classroom and the field.

Cornelia Maria Tuglui shared her experience in working with students and opportunities to connect them further with the AECO industry.

Olivier Boennec helped us visualise the importance of data when designing and its impact on the projects stages.

Lanre Gbolade inspired us with GDS journey in adopting BIM and the positive impacts on their workflows together with the challenges.

Jaime Ingram Solís showed us that BIM is not linked to the scale of the projects and is essential for small and medium practitioners.

Cristina Chitimus clearly demonstrated the benefits of BIM for developers and contractors.

Lee Morris introduced the workshop by showing us how Solibri, Inc. collaborated closely with for .

Then the workshop happened to be the perfect opportunity for all of us to share our thoughts on how collaboration can be improve in the AECO industry touching on transparency, inclusion and open-mind.
