Don't believe the hype.

No private jets. No thousand-dollar lunches. No five-thousand dollar suits. No private driver. No personal chef. No personal trainer. No jet-setting every weekend to some tropical paradise.

I've been sitting in this seat since 5:30 AM.
• Prep for this week's meetings.
• Invoice generation.
• Closing the books for Q1.
• Quotes and estimations for current clients.
• Creating outlines for upcoming webinars and workshops.
• Replacing static code with custom, dynamic code.
• Removing 'time suck', worthless meetings from my calendar.

Yeah, you've heard it before, but I'm going to say it out loud - again:

The life of an entrepreneur is not glitz and glam. IT'S WORK. Unabashed, unadulterated, dawn to dusk (and into the wee-hours of the morning) work.

Is the work worth it? Yes. Absolutely, unequivocally yes.

Success is found on your own path. Only you can create that path.

The likelihood you will find success by walking the exact path of others is nil.

Purchasing the 'playbook' or subscribing to the feed of the supposedly successful influencer doesn't add to your bottom line - it adds to theirs.

Be open-minded enough to learn from others, but always brave enough to blaze your own trail.

In shortcoming or success, writing your own story will always bring the greatest fulfillment.

The Year End Holidays often fill our minds and hearts with ‘more’... new opportunities, new possessions, and feelings of optimism for the coming year.

As I graduated from college, my father gave me three words of wisdom as I entered the workforce:

“Document, document, document.”

And, to this day, I stand by these words - figuratively and literally.

🔺Get the signature.
🔺Write out the process.
🔺Make no assumptions.
🔺Don’t assume things will ‘work out for the best’.

WHEN LIFE FORCES YOU TO CHANGE, START.

Whenever we feel as though we have things figured out, too often life throws us a major curve.

You will falter; you will fail.

But the best part of life is we have the choice to stay down when life knocks us to the ground, or, we can stand to dust ourselves off and keep moving forward.

One foot in front of the other.
One step forward.
One minute, one hour, one day, one week at a time.
There are no shortcuts.
