For the past couple of months, Editor-in-Chief Jeff Dorgay of TONEAudio has been evaluating the S1x, our pinnacle single driver field coil loudspeaker. Yesterday, he published his initial impressions in TONE's Distilled column ahead of the full review later this year, counting it among the ten finest listening experiences he has had in more than 50 years of critical listening. Songer Audio is pleased to announce that our friends at Robb Report have once again graced us with a 2025 Best in Audio Award, for our wonderful single driver field coil loudspeaker, the S1x.

We're humbled to have earned such recognition from someone with so refined an ear and tastes as Robert Ross. This is our third award from the esteemed publication, something that we couldn't have dreamed might happen when we appeared in the audiophile landscape, just a few years ago.

Thank you Mr. Ross, and everyone at Robb Report. This award is an incredible validation of the passion, craftsmanship and dedication that we bring to all of our work.

Introducing the Songer Audio A3 Integrated Amplifier.

The A3 is a 300B Single-Ended Triode design, ideally suited to compliment the peerless performance of our field coil loudspeakers.

Drawing strong references from the design language of our work, the beautifully crafted wood enclosures compliment the cabinetry of our loudspeakers. The hand-polished 1/4" brass top plate is not only a stunning visual statement; it likewise provides an incredibly high-mass foundation for vibration-sensitive vacuum tubes. The large interstage combined with an over-spec Finemet output transformer provide a very wide frequency response. Unique circuitry choices increase damping factor, allowing the A3 to have bass control not often experienced in single-ended designs, and a C3M tube at the core of the gain stage provides excellent drive capability.

The A3 is designed and produced in collaboration with Treehaus Audiolab, of Southport, CT. Like Songer, Treehaus takes inspiration from the earliest and most revered audio designs, elevated in the A3 through contemporary knowledge to create an amplifier that possesses the magic of vacuum tube amplifiers, without compromises.

Usually I have to wait a year between visits to the Songer and Whammerdyne room at a high-end audio show, but that's mostly my fault since I haven't been to the Capital Audiofest in a while. (My Songer and Whammerdyne fix usually happens at the Pacific Audio Fest in Seattle each year.)
