WHAT MAY CAUSE A FRIDGE/FREEZER NOT TO START.
1.) Overheating and poor ventilation, which is caused as a result of a dirty condenser coils located at the back or underneath the unit.
2.) Insufficient airflow too can make your refrigerator not to steam at all due to lack of space. If the freezer is being pushed to a wall or enclosed in a tight cabinet,the heat cannot dissipate, causing the compressor to struggle.
3.) Electrical component failure, this too is as the result of a faulty relay/overload or capacitor of the refrigerator.

This usually means your fridge’s temperature system is out of control.

Inside your fridge are a few key parts that work together to keep things cool (not icy):
Thermostat tells the fridge when to cool or stop cooling.
Thermistor senses the actual temperature inside.
Control Board (PC Board) acts as the “brain” that manages both.
Damper Flap controls how much cold air flows from the freezer into the fridge.
Defrost System melts frost buildup so cold air can flow evenly.

If one of these parts goes faulty, your fridge doesn’t know when to stop cooling and everything freezes solid.

Other Possible Causes:
Damper stuck open (too much cold air flooding in
Defrost system failure ice buildup around coils.
Blocked air vents or faulty evaporator fan
Power surges or a failing control board

Turn your thermostat to a warmer setting and listen for a click.
