Fezz Equinox Dac - Powered by Lampizator

What happens when you combine the masters of toroidal transformers with one of the most sought after valve AC brands in the world? The result is the new Fezz Equinox DAC, designed and powered by Lampizator. This highly anticipated DAC was announced in October 2023.

The unit is based on PCM1794 chipsets and 12au7 vacuum tube. Fezz/Toroidy engineers designed a dedicated, highest quality Supreme class toroidal power transformer for Equinox’s power supply. Device is equipped with 2 Toslink, 1 coaxial and 1 USB digital signal inputs. Thanks to the easily accessible tube, located under the sliding glass on the top panel, units offers the opportunity to create and adjust sound tone according to your own preferences by replacing the tube without any hustle.

Accuphase needs no introduction, they are after all the masters of Japanese Hifi electronics.

There is nothing entry-level about this amplifier. The Accuphase E-280 amplifier features a highly efficient power supply system that helps deliver a robust and dynamic sound. The large capacity power transformer, along with high-current output transistors, enables the amplifier to deliver 120 watts into 4 ohms or 90 watts into 8 ohms per channel, ensuring that you experience an astounding audio performance with ease.

The amplifier features an advanced preamp section that employs Accuphase's AAVA volume control technology. This technology helps ensure a smooth and precise volume adjustment without any channel imbalance, providing a clean and natural sound.

The E-280 comes with a dedicated headphone amplifier optimized for sound quality so there is no need of a separate dedicated headphone amplifier.

This is a demo unit with very low hours. Arrived in South Africa in September 2023.

Optional Boards
The Accuphase E-280 offers two rear panel expansion slots that allow for use of AD-50 (phono preamplifer) or DAC-50 (digital to analogue converter) option boards. These truly make the E-280 an amplifier for life. Additional inputs are easily added as they become available - please contact us if you are interested in these options.

Our music will be streamed from the Holo Red connected to the Holo May KTE Dac, providing the latest and best in R2R technology offering state of the art measurements and sound quality. The Holo Spring 3 KTE and Holo Cyan 2 will also be available to sample.
