Solid stands in solidarity as the nation calls for a shutdown on 21 November 2025.

Gender-based violence and femicide (GBVF) remain a devastating crisis in our country-affecting our colleagues, families, and communities every day. The national shutdown, led by Women for Change, reminds us that this is not only a women’s issue but a human rights issue that requires collective action.

On Friday, 21 November, we join the movement to:

• Honour the lives lost to GBV and stand with survivors

• Amplify the call for GBVF to be declared a national disaster

• Advocate for real change and accountability in every space - from homes and workplaces to national leadership

In solidarity, we have changed our logo to purple and encourage our employees and community to wear black and change their profile pictures to purple. At 12:00 pm, we will join the national 15-minute stand-still to reflect, remember, and recommit to building a safer South Africa for all.

Together, we can break the silence, show compassion, and drive meaningful change.
