Congratulations Benjamin O'Regan, the winner of the 2023 Graduate Coding Competition and the R10k cash prize!
Benjamin's’ code received the most votes, based on the quality of the code and thought process applied to solving the problem.

The 2nd prize winner goes to Larisa Botha, claiming the R5k cash prize. The 3rd prize winner goes to, Mpumelelo Tsotsha claiming the R5k cash prize as well.

Thanks to all the graduates who participated and helped make this competition a success!

Entries are now closed for our 2023 Graduate Coding Competition

Thank you to all the graduates who kept their cool and entered the competition - an amazing display of South African talent!

Now it’s up to our judges to decide who gets the R10K cash prize and 1 of 12 spots in our 2023 tech graduate programme!

Judges are currently assessing the responses and will announce the winners soon.

PS: 2nd and 3rd prize winners win cash too!

PRIDE at Open Box ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Today we celebrated Pride month with a Rainbow Brunch.

While this month is about celebration it is also about acknowledging the history linked to this movement, so we also watched some very interesting TED talks which gave us insight into the history of the Pride Month movement, what LGBTQIA+ is and how WE can all be allies!

This started some beautiful conversations between colleagues and really made us feel like we could come together as a company in support of something so important!

We recently received our quarterly report on the difference we are honoured to be able to make in the lives of our future generations!

We feel so grateful to be partnering with on their Play-with-a-Purpose programme that focuses on assisting children get proper education in the first 5 years of their lives so they are in a position to ultimately be gainfully employed and become global citizens.

The first delivery has been made of their "Nursery School in a Box" which consists of toys that support the 8 areas of learning: Gross Motor Skills, Speech & language, Pre-writing & Spelling, Pre-reading, Maths & Numeracy, Imagination & Creativity, Emotional & Social Skills and Thinking & Problem Solving.

We are so excited about the next 2 deliveries in July and September this year!

Happy World Oceans Day from Open Box Software!

We started our day today with a beach cleanup at Muizenberg Beach in celebration of World Oceans Day.

We were shocked at the amount of sweet wrappers and stompies (mainly) that littered the beautiful beach.

After the clean up, we enjoyed a warming coffee together at ☕

Weekend Family Artjamming 🖌

We had so much fun this weekend creating this artwork. We all got a picture that we had to paint onto a canvas and none of us knew what the final picture was until we joined our canvases together to reveal this Zebra face - amazing!

The event was open to Open Boxers and their families and it was the best way to spend a rainy Saturday!

Our first Open Box Soccer Club match was an absolute success! What a great turnout - we all had so much fun!

We are in training so we can compete against other company clubs - we are so excited for the next match!
