RF Design was established in 1988 as a supplier of RF / Microwave components with an office in Cape Town, South Africa. We have since grown to represent a balanced portfolio of the world’s premier Wireless Data Communications, RF /Microwave component and Sub-systems manufacturing companies with branches in all the major commercial centres of Gauteng, Cape Town and Durban with a staff compliment of

about 30 employees presently. As the nature of our business has moved towards commercial applications in recent years, we have endeavoured to strengthen our product lines in the areas of Wireless Communications, Mobile Data Transmission and Telemetry applications with the range of our product offering extending from component level, through OEM modules to complete sub-systems, working closely with our system integration partners, assuring them of success. The Qorvo QPL1842 is a GaAs pHEMT single ended MMIC RF amplifier IC featuring 25dB of gain and low noise from 5MHz to 850MHz. This high linearity IC is designed to support Broadband CATV DOCSIS 4.0 applications, such as Nodes, Amplifiers, and Remote PHY Devices, as well as Fiber to The Home (FTTH), Home Gateways, and Cable Modems. The combination of low noise, excellent distortion, and low gain make this suitable for drop amps and other distribution amps.

Operating from 0.02 to 30GHz, the QPC2420 typically supports up to 2W input power handling at control voltages of 0/+3 V. This switch maintains low insertion loss of 1.5 dB or less and greater than 40 dB isolation at 30 GHz, making it ideal for high isolation switching applications across both defense and commercial platforms.

Qorvo’s QPA0813 is a packaged, high performance driver amplifier fabricated on Qorvo’s production 0.15 um GaAs pHEMT process (QPHT15). Covering 8 - 11 GHz, the QPA0813 provides 0.7 W of saturated output power with 50% power-added efficiency. The device has an Enable / Disable function for fast RF On and Off control, allowing RF pulse mode applications. For linear applications, it can provide 19 dB of small-signal gain with a good return loss.

Mini-Circuits New Model Alert- SIW Meets LTCC! Mini-Circuits continues to expand its portfolio with the introduction of the first SIW bandpass filter models to its innovative µCeramIQ product line. These proprietary designs incorporate SIW filter topologies into LTCC substrates, achieving uniform passband characteristics, steep skirts and stopband rejection on the order of 80 dB.
