🌍 **UlwaziNet NPO Launches First Low-Cost Internet Hotspot in Katikati, Cathcart, Eastern Cape** 🌐

Katikati, Cathcart, Eastern Cape – June 20, 2025 –
UlwaziNet is thrilled to announce the successful installation of its first low-cost solar-powered internet hotspot in Katikati, Cathcart, bringing affordable and accessible internet connectivity to the community.

This milestone marks a significant step in bridging the digital divide and empowering residents with essential online resources.

The new hotspot provides **zero-rated access** to key educational and government platforms, including:
- All Gov.za websites** for seamless access to government services and information.
- Wikipedia.org - online encyclopedia

In addition, the hotspot offers free access to Whatsapp Chat , **Wi-Fi calling**, enabling residents to stay connected with loved ones and access critical communication tools without cost barriers.

For broader internet access, affordable **internet vouchers** are available at the following rates:
1. R5 for Uncapped Daily Access
2. R35 for Uncapped Weekly Access
3. R140 for Uncapped Monthly Access

At UlwaziNet, our mission is to foster digital inclusion and provide opportunities for education, communication, and growth in underserved communities.
This hotspot is the first of many planned initiatives to bring reliable, low-cost internet to rural areas across the Amahlathi District in Eastern Cape with plans to rollout to Kolomane & Goshen, schools, public areas, clinics & the farming community.
